An area to enjoy. The territory of the municipality of Dolegna, in fact, is home to 1,500 hectares of specialized vineyards , so that the path from Brazzano is wedged between the base of the hill of St. George and the Idrija river is called the ” Wine Route”. In this area, there are more than thirty farms residents, known for its white wines such as Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon, Pinot Bianco and Grigio, Chardonnay, Traminer and Malvasia. To make this unique production, the clay soil (“flysch”), which provides unique features for grape acidity, flavors and fragrances. Add to that the wide selection of red wines, such as Cabernet and Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Schiopettino (or Ribolla black ). In addition to these oenological jewels, the typical gastronomy of the Collio many facilities where you can taste traditional local dishes, prepared according to old recipes with PDO: you can choose between the more familiar “branches” or most sought after restaurants and eateries, such as the Castle of Aquila d’Oro Trussio, which for three generations receives state authorities and people of international renown.
